Features and Links
The Features and Links system allows admins to add custom content, external links, and special features to user dashboards.
What are Features?
Features are custom buttons/links that appear on the user dashboard. They can:
- Link to external websites or resources
- Provide access to custom content
- Integrate third-party tools or services
- Display special announcements or promotions
- Link to community resources or guides
Creating a Feature
In the Content Management tab:
- Click "Add Feature/Link"
- Enter a title (appears on the button)
- Add description (optional tooltip/subtitle)
- Enter the URL or link
- Choose an icon/emoji (optional)
- Set visibility (all users, specific users, or after milestones)
- Save the feature
Feature Properties
- Title: Display name of the feature
- URL: Link destination
- Icon: Visual identifier
- Description: Additional context
- Visibility: Who can see this feature
- Order: Position on the dashboard
Examples
- Link to educational resources or guides
- Shopping links to recommended retailers
- Community forum or chat links
- Video content or tutorials
- Booking or scheduling systems
Managing Features
Admins can:
- Edit existing features
- Reorder features on the dashboard
- Hide/show features based on user progress
- Delete features that are no longer needed
- Track feature click/usage (if analytics enabled)
